Everybody’s Business

The Co-operative College is pleased to announce the launch of Everybody’s Business, a new interactive resource for schools on ethical enterprise. Everybody’s Business, an exciting animated web-based programme based around the journey, from production to consumption, of four everyday products, is aimed at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students.

Exploring interactive scenes, students discover where and how a typical mobile phone, outfit, fast-food meal and holiday are produced. Activities, case studies, videos and background information discuss the ethical issues surrounding not only the producers of these items and their communities but implications for the environment and the planet.

“A polished, attractive and engaging introduction to ethics in enterprise using resources from around the world in real case studies. Appropriate, insightful and interesting … the student experience is immersive.”

“10/10. There are few resources around that promote ethics in enterprise so well. This resource could be used to support learning across a breadth of student experiences and curriculum opportunities. Topics can fit in very well with a range of examination board coursework projects. ” Carl Ward, Sutherland Business & Enterprise College and Chair of the Shropshire & Telford Enterprise Learning Partnership

“The program is very interactive and being able to flick through the pages of information is very effective.”

“The information is made clear with pictures, for example the fashion scene has a lot of pictures which reflect the information, like a billboard for ‘Selling It’ and a shopping rack for ‘Sourcing It’. This attracts the reader’s attention.” Business Studies student, All Hallows Catholic College, Co-operative Business and Enterprise College
