The Co-operative College will be involved in a packed programme of events during the UK’s first Co-operatives Fortnight, which runs from 19 June to 3 July. Events the College will be taking part in across the country include talks, workshops and discussions, as well as a series of celebratory launches for schools which have recently become co-operative trusts.
The Co-operative College will also be attending Co-operatives 2010 in Plymouth (25-27 June), which is part of Co-operatives Fortnight, where it will hold its annual College review as well as a parallel conference for schools, offering practical training and activities for staff and students.
Further workshops at Co-operatives 2010 will showcase other areas of the College’s work, including sessions on membership development, international development, co-operative identity and ethical shopping.
In addition, the College will have stalls at conferences in Milton Keynes (Celebrating International Co-operation, July 3) and Birmingham (Celebrating the Midlands Co-operative Society, 3 July).
Other events will take place at the 8th Day Co-operative in Manchester (the Co-operative College will be giving a presentation on the work the College does with membership induction training to small co-operatives, 30 June) and the Rochdale Pioneers Museum (the Co-operative Group Membership live interactive broadcast, 28 June), as well as a celebration for schools which took part in the Co-operative College’s ethical enterprise challenge (Bromsgrove, 2 July).
