New co-operative school launched

South Axholme trust launchSouth Axholme Community School in Doncaster is the latest school to become a co-operative school, launching during Co-operatives Fortnight. Headteacher Marie Lister, South Axholme’s Chair of Governors Paul Barratt and Co-operative College Principal Mervyn Wilson were joined by Joy Clews, VP of Bishop Grosseteste University College, Ray Yeardley, Head of retail Operations at Lincolnshire Co-operative, Lee Turnbull from Scunthorpe United Football Club Trust and Heather Lee, Head of People & Performance at Lincolnshire Co-operative, as well as several of the governing body.

A brief presentation took place and then the Trust partners were invited to the school hall, where songs and dance from the musical Oliver were performed by students.
