The clock is ticking and everybody at the College can hear it. Co-operators from all the world will come to Manchester in a couple of weeks to celebrate the major closing event of the International Year of Co-operatives (IYC), and the College has been quite busy getting everything ready for such a special date.
This morning we received the massive pop-ups that will help us to be spotted in the international exhibition. Both the College and the Co-operative Heritage Trust have chosen characters from Huckleberry Films’ animations to liven up the exhibition stands. Rocky and other characters will be welcoming visitors at stand A13, in the main exhibition area; and the cartoonised Rochdale Pioneers will be on Co-operation Street, along with the Heritage team on stand 17.
The College will also be part of the Co-operative Living area, where the schools team will be running a Co-operative School with lots of hands-on action activities. As well as showcasing all our work and different areas of activities, the College will celebrate its annual meeting, to be held on 1 November at 5pm in Exchange Room 1 and open to everybody.
