Below is just a taster of what we’re working on right now. Keep checking back to see more updates!

We’re currently working with William Jackson Food Group in Malawi to provide pathways that enable the growing cooperative movement to become more economically and environmentally sustainable. The project is encouraging young people to engage with co‐operative enterprises as a viable livelihood option, as well as empowering women to put themselves forward for leadership positions in their co‐operative.

We have also just received £5000 from the Unicorn Grocery 4% fund, building on the support we received back in 2015. Securing this award will provide much needed funds to support the development of nurseries for Macadamia Co-operatives in Neno and Organic Coffee Co-operatives in Magoni, whilst also allowing the support of tea Co-operatives in Thyolo to continue.

As a supporter of the European Commission funded Social and Solidarity Economy Project, (SUSY) we are working alongside 25 other organisations from 23 European and 9 Global South countries to promote co-operatives as tools to alleviate poverty.
